For all those aspiring to become medical professionals, NEET exam is the ultimate gateway. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted for admission into undergraduate medical courses in India.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released the revised NEET syllabus for the year 2023. Here is a complete breakdown of the NEET 2023 syllabus:


The revised NEET syllabus for Physics has a total of 29 chapters. Some of the important topics include – Laws of Motion, Friction, Thermodynamics, Gravitation, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Electric Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Waves, Ray Optics and Optical Instruments, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems, etc.


The NEET syllabus for Chemistry has a total of 30 chapters. Some of the important topics include – Solid-State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-Block Elements, d- and f-Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life, etc.


The NEET Biology syllabus includes Biology and Biology-Botany. The Biology syllabus has a total of 36 chapters. Some of the important topics include – Diversity in Living World, Structural Organization in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and Its Applications, Ecology and Environment.

The NEET Botany syllabus has a total of 21 chapters. Some of the important topics include – Diversity in Living World, Structural Organization in Plants, Plant Physiology, Reproduction in Plants, Genetics and Evolution, etc.

The revised NEET syllabus has been designed to evaluate candidates’ understanding and knowledge of the basic concepts of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, to apply concepts and solve questions based on analytical thinking and reasoning.
